With a lineup featuring ex-members of Jawbreaker and Latterman, it would have taken a lot for me not to like this record. Fortunately, that isn't the case.
I'm looking for people to do audio (and potentially video) podcasting.
My show will debut this Saturday, where I'll be playing local stuff.
I'm looking for people that have the equipment and the time to do three or four more podcasts... here's what I have in mind.
- One comedy podcast. Someone who can do about 30 minutes a week, and make people laugh.
- One sex advice podcast. I'd prefer a female to do this. Maybe take 2-3 questions a week, and give advice on the cast. No real time constraints, but I'd like it to be more than 10-15 minutes weekly.
- I'd like Dan or Vin to do something playing power-pop and punk.
I'm always looking for ideas. Seriously, if you're interested, post here, or PM me.
As much as I hate the term "podcast" or any products that use it as a marketing term, if you got $100 bucks lying around, this isn't a bad package:

i don't think anybody would ever say anything along the lines of "wow, behringer makes nothing but top shelf electronics," but for the money you get the mic, stand, preamp/mixer/AD/usb, monitors*, and some other random junk too. it's probably easier than finding all of the parts separate and you don't end up spending too much on overkill shit that you don't really need. if you're just sitting around recording yourself talk into the computer, i'd say it's probably worth it.

Man, i dont like video blogs that just have some person face in them. I was planning on doing some stuff specifically for PP but then i got kinda sidetracked with a second guitar player who is awesome but lazy. I told adam i would do a pod cast. It would be extremely easy to transfer the files. I just did a response to some insane woman about the myth of white privilege, and it went sixteen minutes without me even trying..haha. i already have everything i would need. And it would be a great sub to bickering on the board.
If i did a video podcast I wouldnt want it to be..ya know like just me sitting there talking. I just see so many videos like that. When you think of a video podcast what do you picture?
I was thinkin about doing a show and reviewing films and comics and shit ... but I'll do that on my own time and in my own way. I wouldn't have an audience here anyway ...no one here gives a fuck about what I have to say about dorky shit . I know people that do though. =^)
