Review: Scary Kids Scaring Kids - Self Titled

The release of SKSK third album was almost unnoticed to me until i seen it in the target. They have moved a long way from the After Dark EP of being a deep dark sound.Review: New Maps Of Hell

Bad Religion's new record New Maps Of Hell is amazing. The songs have so much energy && the shows to promote the new record where some of the best ive ever been to.Review: Shorebirds - S/T 7"

With a lineup featuring ex-members of Jawbreaker and Latterman, it would have taken a lot for me not to like this record. Fortunately, that isn't the case.

Dillinger Four, Japanther, Holy Shit, and Kim Phuc coming Sunday June 7 to Belvie's!

Sun June 7 8 pm 18+ $10 adv/$12 door Belvedere's, 4016 Butler St., Lawrenceville. Minneapolis punkers Dillinger Four come out with a new album on Fat Records called "Civil War" and headline their first show in the area since they supported NOFX. Japanther are controversial Brooklyn party-rockers who can start the floor moving with "Tut Tut Shake Ya Butt," their latest records on Wantage USA. Milwaukee's Holy Shit are some of those new 'lo-fi' garage-punk types that the kids like so much nowadays, with their self-titled album on Criminal IQ Records as evidence. Plus, a chance to see local punk supergroup Kim Phuc (members of Aus Rotten/Caustic Christ, Mary Celeste, and legendary '80s Greensburg hardcore band Direct Action, among others - also on Criminal IQ) do their thing. Be there at 8 pm when doors open. Sorry, it's 18+ due to the weird smoking laws that ban minors entirely from any bar that still allows smoking (which Belvedere's does), but we think that Dillinger's crowd is almost all above 18 by now, anyways. OK, so advance tickets are now on sale at: Eide's Entertainment, Paul's CDs, Wicked Discs, Slacker, Dave's Music Mine, and The Exchange Squirrel Hill. (Pauls & Wicked have no service charge). Support your local record stores while supporting this punk show. See you there!
