Review: Scary Kids Scaring Kids - Self Titled

The release of SKSK third album was almost unnoticed to me until i seen it in the target. They have moved a long way from the After Dark EP of being a deep dark sound.

Review: New Maps Of Hell

Bad Religion's new record New Maps Of Hell is amazing. The songs have so much energy && the shows to promote the new record where some of the best ive ever been to.

Review: Shorebirds - S/T 7"

With a lineup featuring ex-members of Jawbreaker and Latterman, it would have taken a lot for me not to like this record. Fortunately, that isn't the case.

We’ll be taking pre-orders for the No Truce / Crucified split for one more week. You’ll have until April 12th to get the split CD at the reduced price of only $6.00 (shipping is included in this price). So take advantage of the sale price here: http://www.escapistrecords.com/

For those of you who have already pre-ordered the release, they are being mailed out this weekend. Expect them this coming week.

Unfamiliar with these two fine bands? We’ve has teamed up two of California's most promising hardcore bands on the label’s latest offering. No Truce unleashes a punishing blend of metal-tinged hardcore with influences ranging from Buried Alive, Madball, Integrity, and Sick of it All. If you enjoy Terror and Blacklisted, you’ll dig ‘em. Crucified draws musical and lyrical inspiration from All Out War, Merauder, and Ringworm as they unleash blistering metallic hardcore. If you rage to Ringworm and Palehorse you’ve found your new favorite band.

2.0 - We’re pleased to announce that we’ve signed a contract for exclusive digital distribution with the good folks at Revelation Records. A huge thank you to Adam and every one at Rev. We’re in the process of getting the entire Escapist Records catalog available through the various outlets: iTunes, Rhapsody, Downloadpunk, etc. Once things are complete, we’ll announce.

3.0 - This Time Next Year has begun confirming dates for their U.S. tour this Summer. The band will be hitting the road and covering nearly all the country this time, even heading to Florida for the very first time! This Time Next Year will complete legs of the tour with their good friends The Years Gone By, Fireworks, and 2*Sweet in tow. In other news the band will be releasing a new EP with our good friends at Run for Cover Records. Look for that in May.

4.0 - We’re working on securing a few new artists for some Summer/Fall releases. Nothing is official just yet, but stay tuned for those announcements. Good things to come.

5.0 - Finally, we’ve got a brand new website in the works, one with up to the minute news, artist and release information, and other goodies. Matt @ Three Chords Design is developing it (he recently did a great site for Sakes Alive!!). Be on the lookout for that.

As usual, thanks for all the support. It is deeply appreciated.
