With a lineup featuring ex-members of Jawbreaker and Latterman, it would have taken a lot for me not to like this record. Fortunately, that isn't the case.
look yadda yadda yadda ... alright the Wii has been out a year ... I wasn't impressed ...I sold the bitch ... now the same night i bought that I bought something else to entertain me while i waited in an empty parking lot for the store to open ...that something else was a nintendo DS. Little did I know that 1 year later that lil DS would be the best thing nintendo put out since the 8 bit NES. There are SOOOO many good games out for that thing right now . I just picked up the new Zelda ... and even though you gotta control Link with the stylus ... you get used to it in like 2 minutes and its real easy to control. The game is awesome if you have a DS you need to check this out.
I also recently picked up the new Final Fantasy XII game for the DS ... its also awesome and a must have for anyone that likes RPGs.
I was looking at all the newer games that came out for the system over the last 3 months and i'm really impressed .
oh I forgot to mention Ultimate Mortal Kombat 3 also came out for this bitch ... its pretty much an exact copy of the arcade game cept you fight on one screen and the other screen is used to display what button combos do what moves and finishers and whatnot. Great idea for those people that cant remember anything but subzero's finisher.
also on the MK cart is Puzzle Kombat ... which i dismissed as fodder but then realized that it was just as addictive as tetris. So yeah MK is pretty fuckin sweet ... my only gripe about the game is that you cant change the control settings ...whenever i played this on 64 or whatever I alwasy swapped the run and block buttons ...it just felt smoother that way. Cant do that on the DS version. Oh well.
but yeah seriously as far as hand helds go the DS dominates.
Wii is a waste of time, the only good games that come out for it are first-party Nintendo and those are far between. Kirby showed me Mario Galaxy and that was pretty cool, and I look forward to playing Super Smash Bros, but I guess with older hardware most companies want to move on or just push out fodder on the system.
That being said, you're right about DS, it really is a solid system, I bought not too long ago a G6DS Real that lets me download games directly to it and throw it in the DS, it's great.
Also Contra 4 is awesome TJ, just as tough, just as great.

That system is going NO WHERE fast! Its been a year since launch and the best game for it was a launch game. Everyone was talkin all this shit about how they should get it for Metal Gear 4 .... well that game is going to be exclusive to the PS3 ...but only for 1 year then it will be out for the 360. Sony dropped the ball like a retard in gym class. So yeah ....have 1/2 a brain and steer clear of that bitch.

as soon as I stopped having bomberman parties and people over to play some bowling and shit like that ...the system became a dust collecting waste of shelf space. I probably should have waited til now to sell it on EBAY cos they go for inflated prices again but the way I see it is I already got my loot out of it at launch when I bought 2 and sold one for double the cost. I recently sold my Wii to The Captain ...do I miss it? Yeah about as much as i miss that burning sensation on my asshole when taking a shit the day after eating some habinaro wings.
Its definitely a party system though, so if you dont have friends or whatever to play it with then of course youre going to hate it.

Its not just the Wii either ... i mean I wanna play Rock Band pretty bad ... but i doubt I'll get it cos its not gonna get much use when I return to WV and don't talk to anyone ... what ...am i gona get my mom to come play drums? I don't think so she only plays Atari 2600 ... which I think is the shit by the way! Moms is keepin it reeeeal with the old school!

I still only own two games for my DS. Bomberman and Brainage. I play them both pretty close to daily though. And Ive gotta say thanks to Chris' brother for lending me the games he has after he beats them. One day I will be good at Elite Beat Agents.....or not.
all games improve hand eye coordination ... this is supposed to actually improve vision ...thats why i found it interesting. I dunno I think i'd have to see it in action more to passs judgement on it ... if it was like $5 i'd get it .

I got rid of a bunch of my DS games that I'd played the crap out of to get the special edition Zelda DS. I play it at least once a day.
As far as the Wii goes, I think it helps that I have two roommates who are constantly interested in playing video games. Anytime we have people over it ends up being Wario Ware or Mario Party, then Bomberman and then usually taking turns on either Super Mario World or Super Mario 3. So the Wii I have gets a lot of use.
So maybe the console isn't for everyone. Personally, I adore that there are old games on there and my friend figured out how to crack an emulation code for a memory card where you can just put every game on there, so I'm gettin that hooked up soon and then I'll just have every game ever and won't have to pay another cent for all the older games.
The DS, though... that's for everyone. It's wonderful.
ok after reading about that card ... and tryin to hunt one down i found one for $94 .... ewww! but I had no other choice it was sold out everywhere else.
so I got it .
this thing probably ships from hong kong or some shit ... so i probably wont get it til next year sometime .... I used pay pal though so they better fuckin send it or i'll have pay pal get my loot back... cos if there was ever one thing that pay pal was good at ...it was gettin your loot back when you get burnt on a deal .
I gotta hang out w/ JFF and crew to play video games and talk about how great the Wii is, haha.
Also, Super Mario Galaxy is the best game on any of the current gen consoles.

Also, TJ, watch out. Microsoft just laid down the ban hammer on about a thousand XBoxes. They did a very silent sweep right before Halo 3 came out and just did one a week or two ago. I'd be careful about that Fall updated or Winter update. Wait until its released a day or two before you sign on Live to see if people say anything.
I should get one of those R4 cards for the DS. I liked buying games for it cause they were cheap and I don't play games if I download them -- I take them for granted.
360 kicks ass and takes names .... i just wish they could get rid of all the red light problems ...
mine has been ok so far but everyone i know has gone through that hassle of sendin theirs in to have it fixed or whatever ... oh well at least its worth getting fixed! those other 2 systems are glorified paper weights
