Review: Scary Kids Scaring Kids - Self Titled

The release of SKSK third album was almost unnoticed to me until i seen it in the target. They have moved a long way from the After Dark EP of being a deep dark sound.Review: New Maps Of Hell

Bad Religion's new record New Maps Of Hell is amazing. The songs have so much energy && the shows to promote the new record where some of the best ive ever been to.Review: Shorebirds - S/T 7"

With a lineup featuring ex-members of Jawbreaker and Latterman, it would have taken a lot for me not to like this record. Fortunately, that isn't the case.

I don't hate them, but I don't see why they were a huge deal either, must be the age gap.

Led Zepplin are one of the, what I call, most overrated bands of all time along with The Beatles, The Eagles, and Aerosmith.

I'll agree with those ones too. only thing, no one that ever likes lynard skynard claims that there are the best musicians or any crap like that, it's usually just hillbillys.

Take away Chuck Berry and music is different, take away The Beatles and you take away boring music.

Beatles wrote some amazing fucking rock n roll pop songs. Pretty much changed pop music around the world. Later experimental shit I don't care for. But a good song is a good song. And they got a shit load of 'em.

If you're judging the Beatles solely on the radio songs you've heard in the States then you're seriously missing out. They wrote pop gems, but they also put together pretty sold albums back in the day.

I made this observation at like ten. they didn't sound like twisted sister or ac/dc so so wanted no part of it. it's been one thing I stuck with over the years.

You are so fucking right between Buddy Holly and Ritchie Valens if those 2 dudes wouldn't have died who knows what they would have done. At the time they were light years ahead of everyone. February 3rd should be a national holiday in which no one should work and they should blast music by Holly and Valens while everyone parties in the street. I hate when people say blah, blah if it wasn't for The Beatles music as we know wouldn't be around. Bullshit. At the time there were a ton of groups or people doing intersting things but when the Beatles hysteria hit, everything else was dropped and unless you wanted to be a Beatles clone you were forgotten about. In reality I think they set music back, by doing ok pop songs they brought in the era of the death of creativty, bands sounding alike, and the industry only looking for pop friendly jingles.

In reality I think they set music back, by doing ok pop songs they brought in the era of the death of creativty, bands sounding alike, and the industry only looking for pop friendly jingles. it takes one band to break big with a different style and a million others to swing from their nuts. suddenly you have an "era" of bands that sound alike. you can find one of these every decade, starting with the Beatles. I kind of hold them responsible for making popular music into a cookie-cutter, "We need to find bands like this" style machine as they were the forerunners. So I've got to agree with Black-Mask on the "I think they set music back" wavelength I find the Beatles terribly overrated. I don't hate the Beatles. Hell I even like John Lennon. But I do think too many people swing from their nuts because they're an easy "definitive rock n roll band" to hail as the ultimates. I'll take Chuck Berry and Buddy Holly any day over the Beatles.
We're all fucked up, more or less.

I agree with Ben Weasel on many fronts... Aside from hating led zepplin, I would also like to be a homosexual.
