I don't hate them, but I don't see why they were a huge deal either, must be the age gap.

Led Zepplin are one of the, what I call, most overrated bands of all time along with The Beatles, The Eagles, and Aerosmith.

Was never a Skynard or Greatful Dead fan myself. I do however enjoy The Who and CCR very much.

for what its worth, i think the beatles are good. not being alive back then i think seriously limits us in terms of knowing what they were all about

Beatles wrote some amazing fucking rock n roll pop songs. Pretty much changed pop music around the world. Later experimental shit I don't care for. But a good song is a good song. And they got a shit load of 'em.

But I do think too many people swing from their nuts because they're an easy "definitive rock n roll band" to hail as the ultimates. I'll take Chuck Berry and Buddy Holly any day over the Beatles.
