Review: Scary Kids Scaring Kids - Self Titled

The release of SKSK third album was almost unnoticed to me until i seen it in the target. They have moved a long way from the After Dark EP of being a deep dark sound.Review: New Maps Of Hell

Bad Religion's new record New Maps Of Hell is amazing. The songs have so much energy && the shows to promote the new record where some of the best ive ever been to.Review: Shorebirds - S/T 7"

With a lineup featuring ex-members of Jawbreaker and Latterman, it would have taken a lot for me not to like this record. Fortunately, that isn't the case.

I just couldn't muster up enough reason to see it, yeah some of the actors are appealing but it wasn't enough.

Booooring. Total wanna-be indie film. All style and no content.

I had a couple friends from the theater who swear by it. I'm avoiding it.

When you look at what this movie's genre would call for it to be compared to (Squid and the Whale, Me and You and Everyone We Know, Garden State, Thumbsucker, Eternal Sunshine, the Science of Sleep, and maybe Igby Goes Down, but probably not Elephant) it really ranks up there. But if you aren't interested in that genre, obviously you would hate this movie. I thought as far as romantic comedies go, it was more couth than most (dealing with pregnancy) and was a movie almost geared towards teens. I also thought it was terribly adorable and would recommend it to anyone who likes more than one of the movies I listed above. But if you hate those movies, stay far away from this one. You won't enjoy it even a little bit. This movie was also written by a woman who used to be (or might still be) a stripper. It was the first screenplay she ever wrote.
Just let this happen.

Thumbsucker and Garden state are both good movies, is this really up there with them? I've never heard Juno be compared to these movies, so I'm curious.

Lashund, have you seen Elephant? I didn't enjoy it that much and can't find anyone to gripe to about it. Haha

Haha i havent seen it in a few years, but i remember hating it a ton. if i remember correctly, it was arranged in a really confusing manner which at the time shielded the fact that the story wasnt interesting at all. once i realized nothing decent was happening, i got pretty pissed. granted, it's about a school shooting, so i shouldnt really complain about something being interesting, but it was just aggravating, especially since i had heard it was really good. bah

::sighs:: finally someone that I agree with on that movie. It was hailed as such a great indie flick and it just made me mad when I watched it. I'm pretty sure I wanted to rent May and this guy I was with threw a hissy fit so we rented Elephant.

I don't understand why people think the dialogue in Juno isn't believable.
