The Moon, staged the only Connecticut appearance of Nirvana. The Tune Inn, ran the longest out of the three, from 1992 to 2002, the best of the east for punk, ska, hardcore, garage, blues, folk, and indie rock. Awarded seven years in a row as "The Best Indie Music Live Venue in CT" New Haven Advocate. The place to find Kerouac and Ginsberg aficionados, which didn't make the cops any friendlier.
