With a lineup featuring ex-members of Jawbreaker and Latterman, it would have taken a lot for me not to like this record. Fortunately, that isn't the case.
I mean there has got to be more going on in football. Personally, i really dont care if people pump steroids It actually seems to make things a small fraction more intresting. If i was the kinda guy who liked to sit on his ass and watch other people do things i could do if i wasent a genetic pile of shit, i would REALLY be into people jackin juice.

I dont see the problem in lettin em juice ... i mean hell if it brings more attention to the sport ... if you wanna see a dude that was the size of Kirby one year grow to the size of the hulk within the next 2 years and be able to knock a ball out of the park ... well who's it hurting ? Yeah several months later the dude might have a roid rage and kill his whole family and shit but so what! Thats entertainment!

I hope they develope bionics soon and players start gettin that shit .... bionic arms that let someone throw a 190 MPH fast ball .... a bionic eye that lets the batter see such a ball and hit it and so on.

baseball is supposed to be sacred, that's why it's a big deal. personally, i think if you juiced you should be banished from the game and removed from the record books. if rose gets banned for betting on his team to win, jackson gets banned for doing nothing wrong, then bonds, big mac, sosa, ect should all be gone.

or because baseball's records are considered to be hallowed and it's not right for some douchebag with a syringe to replace a legend of the game. 500 hrs is a joke now, when it used to be a amazing accomplishment. i played baseball for a long time, and respect the game a lot... i have a problem with anyone who cheats to gain immortality
500 homers is a joke? only 23 people have hit that many. who was the youngest? A-rod, and there's not a whole lot of people pointing fingers at him for juicing. who was the second youngest? Jimmie Foxx. He did in the 1940s. no way he was juicing. seriously, the vast majority of the players juicing are probably mediocre players just trying to maintain their place in the major leagues, and i'm willing to bet the mitchell investigation will bear that out. yeah, steroids make it difficult to compare eras, but the powers that be turned a blind eye towards them when mcguire vs sosa was saving baseball...
also, who the fuck cares if baseball's records are 'hallowed'... they don't count achievements by negro league players they wouldn't allow in the MLB. if the records are to be taken seriously, Bonds achievement didn't mean shit because Josh Gibson blew his numbers out of the water. baseball's records are only hallowed because, like AJ said, there's a lot of staunch traditionalists who believe in protecting the history at all costs, no matter how illogical it may be.
and as far as why the NFL isn't under as much scrutiny... the NFL implemented a strict testing and punishment policy earlier than baseball, so it sort of gets a free pass from the public as far as that goes. plus, football is considered to be a more demanding sport, so i think general public opinion falls more along the lines of "these guys would be crazy if they WEREN'T on 'roids". seriously, having to hit a baseball every day for 162 straight days doesn't impress the public nearly as much as having to run full force into 230 pound linebackers from august to february.
